Participants required for a group interview

International students and/or professional guest workers who have lived in Australia for at least 3 months and aged 18 years and above are invited to participate in a research project.

Professional guest workers might be on bridging visas, work visas or short business stay visas.

The study looks at understanding the role of media in the everyday lives of transient migrants (i.e. international students and professional guest workers) and their evolving social identities and networks. Participation will involve taking part in a group interview for approximately 60 minutes. Participation is voluntary and confidentiality will be maintained.

The group interview involves discussing a range of issues around your self-perceived identity, friends and social networks, media use, preferred ways of communication and your perceptions of where you consider is home.

All group interviews will take place at School of Media and Communication (Building 9, city campus), RMIT University. You will be paid with a AU $30 gift card for your time.
